TD Team Status for the Week Ending March 14 (Week 10)

This week has been dedicated to the development of a test plan & test scripts for the project.

Starting next week, the development team will begin the bug fixing phase once the test scripts are established and bugs start coming into the system.

This weekend, several team members and I plan to meet to work on the "marketing" web site for the course. This site is not directly related to the customer's project. It is being created as a marketing tool to show the result of the IST program and the IST 440W course. All of those who can make it will be meeting at school at 10am Saturday.

One concern that still has yet to be resolved is what to do about the IE Mobile browser. Because of it's poor and incomplete support of the CSS 1.0 standard, it is not possible to use basic CSS to create the site. We are currently left with three options:
  • Develop a separate style sheet exclusively for IE Mobile, which would use a different theme than the rest of the devices we plan to target.
  • Using the re-designed theme we design for IE Mobile, migrate the entire site over to this style sheet so that all three devices remain consistent.
  • Target the Opera Mobile and the Iris Browser for Windows Mobile, which are full featured browsers that will have no problems rendering the site.
